まもなくNTP再検討会議が始まります。今度の会議では核兵器全面禁止条約に向けて話し合いを始めることができるかどうかが焦点の一つにならなけれぱなりません。
科学は抽象的な知識としてではなく、技術として、人間に担われて人間社会に立ち現れます。そのときに科学技術が価値中立に実在するということはありえない、と私は考えます。（技術的応用を前提しないで数学のように研究される場合にのみ価値中立的に、研究者やその諸環境を捨象したときにのみ、つまり抽象的にのみ価値中立的に実在しうる、という予感がします。）
核時代における戦争の放棄を訴えるラッセル・アインシュタイン宣言は東西対立が先鋭化していく時代に発表されました。英文と和訳とがすでに与えられているので、わざわざエスペラントにしなくても良いのですが、まあ、せっかくエスペラントをやっていますので、試してみたいのです。
エスペラントを知る前から感じるのは、英語の言い回しが私には難解に過ぎることです。もっとストレートに書けないのか。まあ、それでも作業としては、英文を Google 翻訳でエスペラント下書きさせて、手直ししていくという「ズル」いやり方なので、何も自慢できることもなく、賢くなったわけでもありません。
